Our Story

My name is Jim Stockdale. I grew up in the small town of Big Sandy, Tennessee, where dreams of the West were bigger than the town itself. As a boy, I imagined life as a cowboy, never knowing God would one day use that dream for something far greater. I was called to preach at age 15, and by age 19, I was already in full-time ministry. I met and married my wife, Pam, in 1980 and she joined me on the road in full-time evangelism. A few years later, we moved to South Dakota, where, from 1988 to 2001, I lived a dual life, pastoring and working as a cowboy. Breaking horses and working ranches taught me lessons about leadership I didn’t fully understand at the time. In 2000, I traveled to Cuba thinking I had something to offer, but what I found there would forever change me. It exposed something I didn’t even know was missing and set me on a path I never could have planned.
